COFEM was formed following a piece of research which identified a lack of employment & career opportunities for black and minority ethnic (BME) people within the housing sector.
COFEM works to develop new and real actions that make a difference to both the culture of organisations and individual BME people. COFEM also has an ongoing commitment to maintain a strong network which develops policies, procedures and strategies to increase the diversity of workforces and so improve the quality of service which the sector can provide.
Examples of this so far include: Developing mentoring master classes locally, developing secondment partnerships locally, and increasing employment opportunities through the use of the COFEM website.
We advertise all our job vacancies on the COFEM website.
