Grass Roots Governance is the name we give to resident involvement. Resident involvement covers everything from sending us a letter to becoming a Board member. We believe residents should be able to choose the level and method of involvement that is right for them. Getting involved at Guinness Northern Counties is easy, open to all, and can be in any way you choose, from a grass roots level to helping to govern our housing association.
We have developed many ways for residents to get involved, make decisions and influence the services we provide. These can be found in the Key Player Brochure ((8 page A4 pdf - 252KB download). This gives a brief description of the opportunities available for involvement.
We believe you should be able to choose the level of involvement that is right for you, which is why the opportunities listed in the Key Players brochure need different levels of commitment. You can choose active involvement or armchair involvement. We also ensure that all Key Players have the opportunity to benefit from a wide range of training opportunities.
If you think you would like to become a key player and make a difference please send us an e-mail or telephone a member of our Quality and Research team on 0161 219 7167, from Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.45pm. We will be happy to send you a copy of the brochure which will tell how to register with us. You then decide how you would like to get involved.
