We provide supported housing in partnership with a range of support providers to enable people with support needs to live with dignity, respect and independence in their communities.
Most of our supported housing schemes are for people with learning disabilities and people with mental health needs. We also have a scheme for people with sensory impairments. We also have supported housing for young people, people with substance misuse issues, single homeless people and ex-offenders/people at risk of offending.
Residents in supported housing are provided with a more intensive and supportive style of housing management than is found in general needs housing. Extra support services are often also provided by partner agencies
The partner agency providing extra support may be an official body such as Social Services Department, a large national voluntary organisation or a smaller more locally based voluntary organisation.
