Shared owners have the normal liabilities of being a home owner. If the property is a house you are responsible for:

• household bills, including council tax and television license
• internal /external repairs and maintenance to the property
• internal/external decoration
• contents insurance

Guinness Northern Counties is responsible for:

• rent management
• buildings insurance
