By providing sheltered housing we aim to help our older residents remain as independent as possible for as long as possible.
In sheltered housing you can enjoy the company of other people when you want it, and privacy in your own flat when you don’t.
Many of our sheltered housing schemes have communal lounges and enjoyable events such as coffee mornings, bingo and sing-alongs may be organised by the Scheme Manager and residents.
The Scheme Manager service provides a welcome reassurance that help is at hand on-site when needed, and will ensure you are getting as much help as you need and are getting the most out of life.
When the Scheme Manager is not on duty, we provide a back-up service that enables you to request help in emergencies.
We currently call sheltered housing schemes with communal facilities and an onsite Scheme Manager "Category 2" schemes. If you feel that you do not need this type of environment, but would still like the reassurance of knowing that you can ask for help in emergencies, we also provide "Category 1" sheltered housing. In these schemes you can access a 24 hour emergency call service that enables you to request help if needed.
