Earlier this year Northern Counties was reassessed and evaluated against three new Investors in People modules - Leadership & Management, Worklife Balance, Recruitment & Selection.
Northern Counties has become the first organisation in the country to achieve the new three-part workplace development rating from the Investors in People on the three modules identified above – we passed with flying colours. We are proud of this achievement and believe it demonstrates our commitment to developing our employees.
In addition to this, on reapplying for the IiP Standard we achieved the second highest rating of "significantly exceeded the requirements of the standard" in 18 of the 23 areas assessed and in three areas we received the highest possible rating, reserved for organisations "likely to be demonstrating outstanding characteristics of the standard".
Ruth Spellman, Chief Executive of Investors in People UK said:
"We are delighted that Northern Counties has become the first organisation to be awarded not only the Investors in People Standard but also our three modules, which focus on the key workplace development themes of leadership and management, recruitment and selection and work-life balance.
Through achieving the first UK Investors in People "hat trick", Northern Counties has demonstrated how highly it values its people by placing a premium on training and development. The benefits of doing so will result in a highly skilled and motivated workforce with the ability to maximise its service within the housing sector."
We are proud of our achievement and think it demonstrates our commitment to improving the working life of everyone at Northern Counties.
