Vice Chair

 
 

The story so far:

 

Peter is a retired Corporate Personnel Manager in Electricity Supply Industry.  He spent his working life in the Electrical supply industry in a number of personnel roles retiring as Corporate Personnel Manager of Norweb Electricals in 1997 following the merger of Norweb and North West Water to form United Utilities.

 

Other Roles and Responsibilities:

 

Peter currently acts as Chair of one of the Trafford Independent, Social Appeals panels.  He is Chair of the West Regional committee and the Charitable Trust and is a Member of the Remuneration and Governance committee, the Foyer Advisory Committee, chairs Bower Homes Ltd and also sits on The Guinness Partnership Integration Committee.

 

 

The Role of the Vice Chair          


The Vice Chair of the Association is elected by the Board of Management in September each year at a meeting immediately following the Annual General Meeting. The Vice Chair of the Association is also the Vice Chair of the Board of Management.

The role of the Vice Chair is to support the Chair in ensuring the effective management, strategic development and promotion of the Association.


The Vice Chair of the Board supports the Chair in ensuring that the Board carries out its duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Association’s Rules and ensuring the Board delegates sufficient authority to its Committees, the Chair, the Chief Executive and others to enable the business of the Association to be carried on effectively.
