Governance and our committee structure

Find out about governance at Guinness Northern Counties

The Association has a Committee Structure which ensures that streamlined, efficient, effective, accountable and understandable processes are in place, providing for informed meetings and decision-making on a corporate basis through an effective partnership between paid staff and Voluntary Board and Committee Members. The major features are that strategic policy responsibility and control is clearly vested in the Board; local accountability is enhanced by an extended network of Regional Committees based on each of our five Regional Offices, together with a Home Ownership and Leasehold Services Committee, affording a greater exchange of views and true interface with Residents, Board and Officers, whilst Audit Committee ensures proper internal and other financial controls. Staffing and employment issues are dealt with by the Remuneration and Governance Committee, which also advises the Board on governance matters relating to membership of the Board and Committees.
